Due to the consistently steady growth of the business and our ambition to further expand upon this we are currently undertaking a full company re-brand and re-launch with new website due summer 2015.

Job Description

Krome Design is currently seeking a Middleweight graphic designer to be responsible for both digital and printed media.

Initially a temporary position for nine months maternity cover, due to steady and consistent increase in projects and our company re-brand we would expect it to become a permanent one. Should this be the case, and subject to a review of your work to date, you would be invited to apply for the position.

The successful candidate will join a friendly yet focused team, during an exciting time, gaining exposure to a broad range of brand, website design and print design projects.

Your design style should be complementary to our own, distinctive style, however, fresh ideas and creativity are encouraged. You will not only need to be driven to produce beautiful designs but also to provide appropriate, logical and intuitive design solutions.

We are looking for an applicant with a minimum of five years’ industry experience who is able to manage their own time effectively and work to a schedule. You will ideally be a good communicator with an ability to contribute to concepts and discussions both internally and with clients.

Flexible working hours would be considered, as would some time being spent working from home.

Our Key Requirements

  • Website design:
    • Strong understanding of website usability, funnelling & conversions
    • UX: Mind maps, wireframing
    • UI: Graphical designs
  • Print design:
    • Logo / brand
    • Stationery and corporate literature
    • Exhibition stand / signage

Your Skills

  • Proficient in the use of Adobe creative suite including:
    • Photoshop
    • Illustrator
    • InDesign
  • Experience in a previous design agency or in-house design department
  • Confidence to not only work independently, but also as part of a team
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Creative, can-do approach
  • Good level of written and spoken English
  • Use of Microsoft office:
    • Word
    • PowerPoint
  • Experience with WordPress CMS
  • A basic understanding of website building, its possibilities and restrictions of HTML/CSS markup would be advantageous
