Printed A4 Mailer Design for Jewellery Designer-Maker Jon Dibben

Jon Dibben Printed A4 Newsletter DesignKrome Design has recently designed and printed a mailer for jewellery designer Jon Dibben. We already work closely with Jon to produce advertising artwork and wanted to pull through this styling into a mailer that looked and felt like a luxurious brochure.

We based the design layout on his A4 concertina fold newsletter format, but used the creased folds as a design feature to delineate six product image areas with relating messages. The double sided mailer was printed onto 190gsm uncoated paper, not only to further distinguish it from a newsletter, but also to add substance; echoing the handmade, tactile nature of Jon’s bespoke fine jewellery.

The jewellery images were re-touched to remove signs of dust present during photography, and the background was colour balanced and extended to allow for the proximity of the images and their relationship to each other. As with Jon’s adverts, we pulled colour through from the featured gemstones to the text, providing cohesion across Jon’s promotional brand elements.

Jon also decided to print an accompanying DL mailer insert to send a personal note to his customers as, sadly, he experienced a burglary in his showroom whilst going to print with this mailer. We would like to echo his customers’ messages of well wishes and send Jon, Paul, Chris and Hannah all of our support.
