Social Media & Search Engine Optimisation

By mslightam, 18 May, 2012

Social MediaWith the ever-advancing march of social media, its effect on sites and their positioning in the search engines is becoming ever more crucial. As well as linking out to your Facebook and Twitter feeds, you may also want to integrate your Twitter feed into your site and give site users the ability to easily share site content via channels such as Facebook (Facebook like) and Google (Google +1).

This will help you engage further with your site users and help drive more traffic through to your website. Remember content is still king, putting useful content on your website is still the best way to build strong sustainable search engine rankings.

If you run your site from WordPress there are a number of plugins to help you, you might try using the ‘AddThis’ which we have implemented in the past. If you’re looking to integrate your Twitter feed there are a number of solutions; Krome has its own plugin which was built in-house for doing this.

Contact us if you need help installing or setting up either on your own website.
